Claims Specialist Position

We are seeking an experienced professional to fill a Claims Specialist position. This role is based in Adelaide and requires a combination of office and remote work.
The successful candidate will be responsible for managing new claims, liaising with customers and other parties, and administering claims. This includes gathering information, preparing correspondence, calculating settlements, and processing payments.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage new claims from receipt to closure, ensuring timely and accurate resolution.
- Liaise with customers and other stakeholders to gather information and resolve queries.
- Administer claims, including gathering information, preparing correspondence, calculating settlements, and processing payments.
- Assist the Divisional Manager with claims data preparation, monitoring, and analysis.
- Identify opportunities for recovery and monitor outstanding claims.
Requirements:
- Strong interpersonal and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work well within a team and unsupervised.
- Understanding of covers and policy wordings.
- Capacity to recognize trends and anomalies in claims data.
