Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive Sales Engineer with a strong technical mindset to join our team in Hobart, Australia. As a Sales Engineer at Nortek Australia, you will work closely with our team to support new and existing customers throughout Australia and New Zealand.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work closely with our team to support new and existing customers throughout Australia and New Zealand.
  • Provide technically suitable solutions to customer project requirements.
  • Assist senior staff in the execution and planning of sales activities, marketing, conference attendance, trade shows, and Nortek-run events.
  • Regular local, national, and international travel to attend events and for client visits.
  • Obtain an understanding of Nortek technology to a high competence and the ability to share information professionally.
  • Assist and advise customers on a broad range of applications from both a sales and technical support perspective.
  • Handle incoming sales processes and oversee orders during the manufacturing and delivery of new products.
Requirements
  • Relevant Master's or Bachelor's degree in science, engineering, or marine technology.
  • Relevant industry or work experience is an advantage and may compensate for lack of formal training.
  • Proactive and genuinely committed to finding good solutions to solve customer needs.
  • Sincere desire to share knowledge with customers and technology communities.
  • Structured, responsible, organized, and able to build trust with different types of people.
  • Results-oriented, independent, self-motivated, and thrive in an environment where no two days are the same.
  • Good communication skills in English written and spoken. Additional languages are an advantage.
