DNV Maritime Region Southeast Asia, Pacific & India is seeking a highly skilled Principal Newbuilding Surveyor to provide class services to shipyards and certify materials and components. Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct surveys of vessels during the new construction stage to ensure compliance with DNV's rules and regulations.
* Manage projects related to new building vessels, ensuring timely completion and quality standards are met.
* Certify materials and components manufactured by local Hobart industries, ensuring they meet DNV's requirements.
* Establish and maintain strong relationships with local clients, providing exceptional customer service.
* Provide technical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
* Ensure all work is performed in accordance with DNV's rules, regulations, and quality requirements.
* Maintain confidentiality of clients' business information and processes.
* Communicate any important information to line management promptly.

Position Qualifications/Requirements:
* Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a relevant field.
* Experience as a project manager on complex vessels.

* Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
* Flexibility in traveling is required.
* Physical abilities necessary to perform regular job functions.
