The Opportunity

Cromarty Automation seeks a suitably qualified and experienced Engineering Manager to join our team in Hobart. The primary purpose of this role is to oversee the delivery of our services and products to clients, ensuring an exceptional level of service and quality.

The Engineering Manager will be responsible for managing the team's workload, providing mentoring and advice to others, and participating in the delivery of technical work as required.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead a team of experienced engineering professionals in the delivery of high-quality project outcomes.
  • Coordinate the delivery of engineering work, ensuring adherence to safety policies and procedures.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships, providing high-quality service.
  • Maintain professional currency by staying up-to-date with current Electrical/Automation engineering best practices.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Electrical Engineering or relevant training and experience.
  • 10+ years of relevant experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a team and coordinate the delivery of high-quality engineering work.
  • Strong safety leadership and commitment to high-quality service.
  • Effective communication, negotiation, and influencing skills.
Desirable Skills
  • Relevant project management experience and methodologies.
  • Industrial/manufacturing environment experience.
  • Low voltage electrical design.
  • PLC, RTU & VFD experience.
  • SCADA system knowledge/experience.
