Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct surveys of vessels during the new construction stage to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Manage projects related to new building vessels, ensuring timely completion and quality standards.
  • Certify materials and components manufactured by local Hobart industries, ensuring they meet DNV's quality and safety standards.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local clients, providing exceptional customer service and support.
  • Provide technical assistance to both internal and external stakeholders as needed.
  • Ensure all work is performed in accordance with DNV's rules, regulations, and quality requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality of clients' business information and processes.
  • Communicate any important information to line management promptly.
  • Supervise the work of others, ensuring it is carried out efficiently and economically.
  • Act as a technical resource for customer questions, promoting DNV's services and expertise.

Position Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Naval Architecture, Marine Engineering, or a relevant field.
  • Experience as a project manager on complex vessels.
  • Strong customer service orientation and technical competencies.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility in traveling and physical abilities necessary for regular job functions.
  • Fluency in English (speaking and writing).
