**About the Role**

Mainfreight is seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Administrative Assistant and Customer Service Specialist to join our team at our Townsville branch. In this exciting opportunity, you will play a key role in supporting our dynamic team with administrative tasks and delivering exceptional customer service.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with excellent written and verbal communication skills, who can multitask effectively and work well under pressure. As an Administration Assistant and Customer Service Specialist, you will be responsible for managing creditors and payables, liaising with suppliers, and preparing cheque requisitions among other duties.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Manage overall creditors and payables, ensuring accurate and timely payments;
  • Liaise with suppliers regarding invoice reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies;
  • Daily estimate supplier costs and maintain accurate records;
  • Prepare cheque requisitions and meet payment deadlines to ensure seamless operations;
  • Ratify and post transactions accurately and efficiently;
  • Provide exceptional customer service, responding to queries and resolving issues promptly;

  • Strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in all administrative tasks;
  • Accurate data entry abilities, maintaining up-to-date records and databases;

  • The ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and adapting to changing priorities;
  • Self-motivation, taking initiative to improve processes and achieve goals.

**What We Offer**

As an Administration Assistant and Customer Service Specialist with Mainfreight, you will enjoy a competitive salary of $60,000 - $70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus additional benefits such as professional development opportunities and a supportive work environment.
