Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Occupational Rehabilitation Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our multidisciplinary team, you will be responsible for providing occupational rehabilitation services to injured workers.
Your primary focus will be on developing and implementing return-to-work plans that enable employees to safely return to work as soon as possible. You will work closely with employers, medical specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our clients.
The ideal candidate will have strong clinical reasoning skills, excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and the ability to work autonomously. You will also have experience in occupational rehabilitation, preferably in a similar role or industry.

- Key Responsibilities:
- Leverage your networks and industry knowledge to identify new return-to-work opportunities.
- Develop and nurture relationships with employers seeking return-to-work support for their organization.
- Case management for injured workers who require physical and/or psychological support to return them back to employment.
- Take a holistic care approach, establish key relationships with health professionals, and work within a multidisciplinary team to support the journey from rehab to healing.
- Perform various assessments depending on your area of clinical expertise, including functional capacity evaluations, worksite, ergonomic, or activities of daily living assessments.
- Collaborate with stakeholders, including the injured employee, employer, medical specialists, and other allied health professionals to develop, implement, and monitor rehabilitation plans.

- Current unrestricted (or eligibility for) registration or membership with the relevant industry body.
- Occupational rehabilitation experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in Occupational Therapy, Physiotherapy, Exercise Physiology, or Nursing.
- Strong clinical reasoning.
- Ability to engage across multidisciplinary teams to support the achievement of a common goal.
- Passion to help people rehabilitate.
- Demonstrated ability to work autonomously.
