Senior HSEQ Professional

The position of Senior HSEQ Professional is a critical role within our organisation, responsible for leading and mentoring a multi-disciplinary team. As a key member of our HSEQ management structure, you will be instrumental in driving our 'Safety First' and 'Right First Time' culture.

This senior leadership role involves working closely with internal and external stakeholders, including contractors and subcontractors, to ensure consistency in line with our Safety, Environment and Quality Management Systems and program-specific HSEQ plans.

  • Provide assurance that all employees and stakeholders meet our organisational obligations to our HSEQ management systems;
  • Collaborate with, coach and mentor internal stakeholders to ensure HSEQ responsibilities are understood and delivered;
  • Responsible for the development and execution of the in-region internal audit program, ensuring audits are completed and recorded, managing corrective, remedial and preventative action in relation to the system;
  • Implement, maintain and continuously improve the HSEQ management systems and site-specific HSEQ plans to the Programs operations derived from the overarching policies and identify initiatives to maintain and improve standards.

Key Requirements:

  • Australian Citizenship with current Defence security clearance (or ability to obtain);
  • Vocational or Tertiary qualification in Health and Safety, Environment or Quality Management (or other relevant field);
  • Qualification as a ISO9001, 45001 or Integrated Management System Lead Auditor;
  • Demonstrated experience in a HSEQ leadership role within high-risk or high-reliability industry (i.e. Aviation, Marine, Oil & Gas, Mining, Construction or Engineering);
  • Sound knowledge of WHS legislation, codes and standards;
  • Experience in the development of audit programs and schedules and conducting operational HSEQ audits.
