Leadership Opportunity: Senior Healthcare Professional

Our organization seeks a highly skilled and compassionate Senior Healthcare Professional to lead our care team and provide exceptional care to residents. As a senior healthcare professional, you will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care, managing staff supervision, care planning, medication management, family communication, and crisis management.

About This Role

As a senior healthcare professional, your primary focus will be on delivering outstanding care to residents, addressing their specific medical, physical, and emotional needs. You will also oversee the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident, considering their unique health requirements and preferences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Resident Care: Ensuring the delivery of high-quality and person-centered care to residents.
  • Staff Supervision: Managing and leading a team of healthcare professionals, including nurses, caregivers, and support staff.
  • Care Planning: Overseeing the development and implementation of individual care plans for each resident.
  • Medication Management: Ensuring proper administration and management of medications for residents.
  • Family Communication: Communicating effectively with residents' families or legal guardians.
  • Crisis Management: Handling emergency situations and critical incidents promptly and effectively.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with relevant health authority.
  • Minimum 2 years experience in aged care as a registered nurse.
  • Knowledge of aged care accreditation standards.
  • Comprehensive knowledge and experience with relevant care management software.
  • Expertise in medication administration and wound care.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • An outstanding proficiency in care planning, goal setting, and evaluation documentation.
