Job Summary
Our company is seeking a highly skilled Site Engineer to join our team for the Lower Molonglo Water Quality Control Centre (LMWQCC) upgrade project. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a Design and Construct 4-year program that aims to modernise the plant's solids handling system and support future growth and air emission standard updates.
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for undertaking all Health, Safety, Environment, and Quality (HSEQ) responsibilities as identified in the Project Management Plans and associated documents. You will also escalate potential and actual risks that may impact safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery of activities under management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Undertake all HSEQ responsibilities as identified in the Project Management Plans and associated documents
  • Escalate potential and actual risks that may impact safe, timely, and cost-efficient delivery of activities under management
  • Manage quality production defined by method statements and ITPs
  • Monitor construction progress to ensure acceptable quality of structures and finishes
  • Establish, measure, and report daily productivities for assigned activities
  • Undertake cost controlling and estimating as required by Project Manager
  • Develop, monitor, and report on programmes for elements of work as required by the Project Manager
  • Manage work teams in the field
  • Verify subcontractors' claims and variations
Requirements:
  • Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) or its equivalent
  • Previous experience working in a civil engineering or construction environment, preferably on-site
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Suite including Excel
  • Demonstrated ability to produce a critical path network with up to 100 activities
  • Ability to prepare, monitor, and update short-term production bar charts
  • Working knowledge of safety legislation, Australian Standards, and industry codes
  • Understanding of specific project scope of works and contractual procedures for managing change
  • Understanding of distribution of contractual responsibilities between Client, Contractor, Subcontractor, and Supplier
