Senior Healthcare Professional

The Senior Social Worker role is a key position within the Women's and Children's Health Team, covering maternity, birthing unit, neonatal intensive care, pediatrics, fertility, fetal medicine, and antenatal clinic services.
This senior level position offers the opportunity to work with culturally and socially diverse patients and families, providing support to other areas within the hospital as required. It may involve working with vulnerable people and individuals experiencing trauma.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide advanced clinical social work services at a Level 3 scope, including independent problem-solving and contribution within a multidisciplinary team.
- Support women, children, and families across various healthcare services.
- Assist with complex social and ethical issues, maintaining professional boundaries in challenging situations.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Advanced clinical knowledge and significant experience in social work, preferably at Level 2 or higher.
- Demonstrated ability to independently problem-solve and apply professional and ethical boundaries in complex scenarios.
Requirements:
- Hold a Bachelor or postgraduate degree in Social Work that provides eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
