Lead Organiser Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Lead Organiser to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing national organising plans, as well as leading and managing the work of organisers.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated and experienced professional to take on a leadership role within our organisation. The Lead Organiser will work closely with industry section directors and organisers to operationalise our strategic plan, focusing on organising workers in priority industry campaigns.

Main Responsibilities
  1. Develop and Implement National Organising Plans
  2. Manage and Lead Organising Activities
  3. Coordinate and Manage the Work of the National Team of Organisers
  4. Develop the Union's Organising Capability
Key Skills and Qualifications
  • A passion for improving workers' lives and achieving union goals.
  • Strong leadership, motivation, and education skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and advocate for the union's political and social justice agenda.
  • Excellent communication, messaging, and rapport-building skills.
  • Experience in leading teams and developing organising strategies.
