About the Opportunity

Candidates will assist in operationalising strategic plans with a focus on prioritising industry campaigns and developing workers' lives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement operational plans aligned with industry strategies and campaigns.
  • Implement and promote practices that contribute to union goals, including diversity, inclusive workplaces and addressing barriers to participation.
  • Assist in coordinating and managing national team operations.
  • Contribute to campaign development, reviews and innovation.
  • Develop organisational capability and support Organiser development.
Selection Criteria
  • Possess passion and drive for improving workers' lives and achieving union goals.
  • Ability to lead, motivate and educate union members and potential members.
  • Participation in the union's political and social justice agenda.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Leadership development experience.
  • Excellent communication, messaging and rapport-building skills.
  • Experience in leading teams and developing strategy.
  • Ability to communicate and advocate with all political parties.
  • Ability and willingness to travel within Australia.

Requirements include a valid driver's licence and Right of Entry Permits.
