About the Role

As a Lead Organiser, you will be responsible for leading and managing a national team of organisers, developing their skills and capabilities to ensure the effective implementation of our strategic plan.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Operational Planning: Develop and implement operational organising plans that align with industry strategies and campaigns.
  • Team Management: Lead and manage a national team of organisers, providing guidance and support to ensure their effective performance.
  • Campaign Development: Assist in the development and implementation of campaigns that contribute to the union's goals, including diversity and inclusive workplaces.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Pasision for Improving Workers' Lives: A passion for improving workers' lives and achieving union goals is essential for this role.
  • Leadership and Communication Skills: Strong leadership and communication skills are required to lead and motivate union members and potential members.
  • Political and Social Justice Agenda: Participation in the union's political and social justice agenda is also important.

Please note that experience as a lead organiser is preferred but not essential for this role. We are looking for someone who has a strong passion for improving workers' lives and can demonstrate excellent leadership and communication skills.
