We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Specialist to join our team.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent technical skills, including experience with IT support, troubleshooting and problem-solving. They should be able to communicate effectively with customers, both verbally and in writing.
This role involves providing high-quality technical assistance to our clients, ensuring that their IT needs are met efficiently and effectively.
A key responsibility of the job is to identify and resolve technical issues promptly, often working under pressure to meet tight deadlines.
In addition to technical expertise, the successful candidate will have excellent time management skills, be highly organized and have a strong attention to detail.
Main Responsibilities:
- Analyse and diagnose IT problems using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
- Provide technical support to clients via phone, email and face-to-face interactions.
- Escalate complex issues to senior technicians or external vendors as necessary.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, including issue resolution and follow-up activities.
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need to have:
- A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar desktop support position.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment, managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues.
- A solid understanding of IT concepts, including networking, hardware and software maintenance.
- Certifications in areas such as CompTIA A+ or Cisco CCNA would be highly regarded.
