Desktop Support Specialist Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and customer-focused Desktop Support Specialist to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting end users, resolving technical issues, and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives that enhance digital services across the organisation.

The successful candidate will have strong technical knowledge of Windows desktop operating systems, MS Office suite, and standard business applications. They will also possess excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively across teams and directly with end users.

  • Providing technical support for PCs, laptops, end-user devices, peripherals, and Windows desktop environments.
  • Troubleshooting and resolving issues with common applications such as Microsoft Office, Edge/Chrome, and productivity tools.
  • Delivering excellent customer service and stakeholder engagement in line with IT service management principles and agreed service levels.
  • Collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing subject matter expertise in desktop support.
  • Updating and maintaining work instructions, processes, and documentation to ensure accuracy and relevancy.
  • Supporting incident, problem, and service fulfilment management while driving continuous improvement initiatives.
Requirements:
