About the Role

We're seeking a skilled Water Maintenance Technician to join our team at South East Water. As a key member of our Water Maintenance team, you'll provide technical support to our internal and external stakeholders, ensuring the safe operation of our water supply network.

Key Responsibilities

  • Undertake audits of principal contractors and external contractors to identify trends and improvements.
  • Assess and ensure work sites are established and maintained in accordance with HSE protocols and procedures.
  • Respond to complex customer issues within tight timeframes and undertake appropriate action.
  • Participate in the after-hours duty roster, providing support and response to water and sewer issues.
  • Use SEW's works management system (Montage) to issue and verify completion of works.

Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary or trade qualifications, such as Plumbing, Fitter, or 5+ years in maintenance, operations, or construction of water and recycled water networks.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • A strong customer focus and ability to confidently negotiate, present, and discuss technical information to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of OH&S Regulations, Certified Agreement, Aus. and WSAA Standards and Codes of Practice.
  • Broad understanding of hydraulic principles that apply to water systems.
