Job Title: Key Donor Development Specialist

At our organisation, we are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Key Donor Development Specialist to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented individual to make a significant impact in the lives of people living in poverty. As a Key Donor Development Specialist, you will play a crucial role in deepening and growing relationships with major donors across Australia. Your primary focus will be on identifying new high-net-worth individuals, building lasting partnerships, and communicating our mission in compelling ways that inspire generosity and deepen impact. Your responsibilities will include: • Qualifying, managing, and growing a portfolio of major donors giving $10,000+ annually using strategic engagement to deepen relationships and increase giving over time. • Developing tailored goals and communication plans for each donor, aligned with their interests and giving capacity. • Proactively engaging new philanthropic prospects and referral networks to grow the donor base. • Collaborating with program and fundraising teams to craft impactful donor pitches and project proposals. • Hosting and speaking at events, donor gatherings, presentations, and insight trips. • Developing and stewarding relationships with donors to identify and cultivate planned giving opportunities, including gifts in Wills. • Representing us at relevant networking forums, expos, and conferences. To succeed in this role, you will need: • A deep alignment with our organisation's mission and values. • Experience in fundraising, sales, or customer engagement, with a strong focus on KPIs and outcomes. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to confidently engage high-net-worth individuals and represent us publicly. • Proactive and self-directed, with strong organisational and time management skills. • A team player with a high level of emotional intelligence and integrity.
