**MS Queensland **is a not-for-profit organisation providing specialised services to benefit people living with Multiple Sclerosis (MS) and other progressive neurological conditions. The Donor Engagement Specialist is a key role in maximising individual giving and philanthropic revenue through Gift in Wills, Major and Mid-level Donors and Grants, Trusts and Foundations.
Through the implementation of identification, cultivation, recognition and stewardship activities to build long term relationships with individual donors, this role will generate the giving and retention levels required to help deliver MS Queensland's supporter funded programs, commitment to research and other philanthropic objectives as they arise. The role will engage with staff, key stakeholders, board and committee members to maximise program outcomes.
Reporting to the Donor Development Manager, additionally, you will:
- Identify, cultivate, nurture and grow relationships with new and existing supporters across Gift in Wills, Major Giving, Mid-Value and Grants, Trusts and Foundations programs to inspire support.
- Develop and execute exceptional stewardship plans for a range of prospects, communicating impact to increase their engagement with MS Queensland.
- In collaboration with Donor Development Manager create GIW stewardship engagement plan including follow up of potential and confirmed bequest donors by phone, mail and in person.
- Work with marketing to develop engaging and creative cases for support to share with prospects that demonstrate need and impact
- Identify major donor prospects and map donor journeys to steward new major gifts
- Create experiences and opportunities to introduce potential major gift supporters to projects they are interested in funding.
To make a difference in this role you will bring a passion for improving the lives of others; coupled with the following skills and experience:
- 5+ years' experience in a similar fundraising role
- Proven track-record in generating significant financial philanthropic gifts or successful Gift in Will programs.
- Experience in strengthening a growing relationship-based programs through cultivating, soliciting and stewarding supporters
- Self-starter with proven ability to work independently and also collaboratively in a team environment and a desire to be out of the office meeting with supporters.
- Highly resourceful team-player who also possess a positive, can-do attitude
- Positive, flexible attitude and high energy
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including attending events outside of business hours as needed
- Driver's license with flexibility and mobility to undertake business travel as required to fulfil the requirements of the position
**Proof of COVID-19 Vaccination (double dosed), an NDWS clearance and completion of NDIS Online Worker Training Module will be required for this role (prior to commencement).**
