Senior F&B Operations Coordinator

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Food and Beverage administrator to join our team at Hyatt Regency Sydney, Australia's largest hotel.

This is a unique opportunity for someone who has a passion for delivering exceptional customer service and possesses strong organizational skills. As a Senior F&B Operations Coordinator, you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the Director of Food & Beverage and the Food & Beverage administration team.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in a fast-paced environment, preferably in the food and beverage industry. You will possess excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, and be proficient in Microsoft Office.

In this role, you will be responsible for managing the day-to-day administrative tasks, including taking phone reservations, handling guest complaints, and coordinating special events.

You will also be responsible for creating PM accounts, managing charges for all group bookings, and tele-marketing past, current, and future clients to drive business for food and beverage.

To be successful in this role, you will need to have strong attention to detail, be highly organized, and possess excellent time management skills.

Main Duties:

  • Provide administrative support to Director of Food & Beverage and the Food & Beverage Admin team
  • Manage the Food and Beverage outlet emails and ensure all written correspondence is in line with Hyatt Hotels Corporation standards.
  • Take phone reservations both internal and external.
  • Identify group enquiries for venues and direct these to Venue Sales representatives.
  • Assist with handling guest complaints efficiently, while bringing all complaints to the attention of the Food and Beverage Management team.
  • Responsible for the planning, development, implementation and running of all special events in the outlets including but not limited to – Valentine's Day, Mother's Day, Father's Day, Melbourne Cup Day, Christmas Day and New Year's Eve.
  • Establish a client base of repeat business to effectively sell the spaces for private functions.
  • Work closely with the Food and Beverage Outlets Managers to produce various industry and guest wine and promotional dinners throughout the year.
  • Responsible for creation of PM accounts and manage charges for all group bookings. Also responsible for working with venue managers to ensure settlement of accounts following all outlet events.
  • Tele-market past, current and future clients that have the potential to drive and generate business for food and beverage
  • Maintain and update calendars and appointment logs for the F&B management team
  • Maintain adequate stocks of all stationary for the office and paper for the outlets

Requirements:

  • Minimum of one-two years' experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge of F&B Operation is preferred
  • Experience using Microsoft office is preferred
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Valid NSW RSA is essential
  • Full Australian work rights is essential
  • Availability to work from Tuesday to Saturday from 10:00 am to 6:00 pm

Salary: AUD $55,000 - $65,000 per annum
