Job OverviewWe are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Accounts Administrator to join our Project Accounts team in Sydney. This full-time role offers an exciting opportunity for an individual with strong initiative and analytical skills to contribute to the company's continued success.
Responsibilities- Set up and maintain project records in accordance with contract requirements, ensuring accuracy and efficiency.
- Update and maintain WIP spreadsheets to facilitate Project Teams in accurate forecasting, promoting informed decision-making.
- Prepare and issue high-volume monthly progress claims, liaising with clients and coordinating with Project Teams to ensure compliance with contract requirements.
- Assist with collections by resolving client requests and queries, conducting investigations and reconciliations on project accounts, and providing excellent customer service.
- Manage month-end close processes, ensuring project financials are accurate and align with forecasted amounts, maintaining a high level of attention to detail.
- Support Project Teams in managing and understanding the financial performance of their projects, providing valuable insights and recommendations.
- Contribute to the continuous development and improvement of Project Accounts processes, enhancing efficiency and productivity.
- Intermediate to Advanced Excel skills, including proficiency with pivot tables, VLOOKUP, IF functions, basic macros, and conditional formatting.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with a proven ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex issues.
- Highly organized with exceptional time management skills, able to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines effectively.
- Process-driven with a high level of attention to detail, accurate data entry skills, and excellent communication abilities.
- Effective interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate with team members, stakeholders, and clients, building strong relationships and trust.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present information clearly and concisely.
- Demonstrate professionalism and objectivity in all work matters, maintaining discretion and confidentiality.
- Construction industry experience or experience in a similar role is highly desirable.
