Senior Workplace Health and Safety Strategist

The Senior Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) Specialist will play a pivotal role in driving our organization's WHS initiatives forward.
Job Responsibilities:- Strategic Risk Management: Develop and implement comprehensive psychosocial risk and work design strategies across the organization, ensuring a safe and healthy work environment for all employees.
- Performance Delivery: Collaborate with the WHS Manager to achieve outstanding Health, Safety and Wellness performance, aligning with business objectives and goals.
- Program Development: Design and implement programs focused on occupational health, wellness, injury prevention, injury management, and return-to-work initiatives, addressing emerging challenges and improving overall workplace safety.
- Operational Support: Provide guidance and support to site operations teams in implementing WHS and Wellness programs, ensuring seamless integration and effective execution.
- Process Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement in WHS processes, engaging stakeholders and driving collaborative efforts to enhance workplace safety and efficiency.
- Educational Background: Bachelor's degree or higher in psychology, behavioral health, public health, health science, or a related field.
- Professional Experience: Minimum 3 years of experience in an occupational setting, demonstrating expertise in WHS principles and practices.
- Legal Knowledge: Familiarity with relevant Workplace/Occupational Health and Safety legislation, ensuring compliance and best practices.
