We are seeking a highly skilled Workplace Health and Safety Specialist to play a critical role in our injury prevention and workplace health and safety program.
This position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams across multiple sites to ensure workplace safety, injury prevention, and compliance with local, regional, and federal regulations.
The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing site opportunities, coordinating ergonomic assessments, analyzing injury trends, and ensuring adherence to WHS project management mechanisms.
- Lead cross-site projects and implement process improvements
- Analyze safety data, conduct hazard assessments, and manage stakeholders
- Maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive workplace matters
This position involves influencing peers and senior leaders to foster a positive safety culture.
Key Responsibilities:- Assess site opportunities and develop solutions to improve workplace safety
- Coordinate ergonomic assessments and implement recommendations
- Analyze injury trends and develop strategies to prevent injuries
- Ensure adherence to WHS project management mechanisms
- Bachelor's degree in workplace health and safety, ergonomics, kinesiology, or related field
- Experience as an Occupational Health and Safety Specialist or similar role
- Knowledge of Australian WHS laws, regulations, and codes of practice
