Job Title: Global Work Health and Safety Strategist

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to play a key role in our global Work Health and Safety (WHS) strategy.

About the Role:

Job Description

As a Global Work Health and Safety Strategist, you will be responsible for supporting the development and implementation of our WHS framework and strategy across various risk profiles including warehousing, logistics, construction, manufacturing, asset management, and retail operating across 8 countries internationally.

You will lead the recommendation and adoption of the health and safety framework and strategy into retail franchisees across Australia, partnering with stakeholders including retail franchisees, warehouse teams, and corporate executives to influence, impact, and build safety capability across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support, monitor, and promote a proactive approach to the maintenance and implementation of the global Framework and Strategy through the application of the H&S Management system within Australia.
  • Support the delivery of the Health & Safety Framework and Strategy.
  • Lead the development and implementation of the recommended Health & Safety Framework and Strategy for retail franchisees.
  • Complete action plans, provide detailed reporting and data analysis along with communicating findings to the business.
  • Be a trusted partner and provide practical advice to deliver safety standards in partnership with regional teams.
  • Drive improvements in safety outcomes by educating best practice and legislation.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have:

  • Suitable experience in a work health and safety role.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in the application of health and safety legislation.
  • Experience in working in project roles or change programs.
  • Experience working in an organisation with multiple sites and stakeholder groups.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and timeframes.
  • Proven experience in writing reports, analysing data, and communicating findings.
  • The ability to communicate and influence a wide variety of stakeholders.
  • Relevant qualifications or training in Health and Safety or related discipline.
