
Senior Workplace Health and Safety Specialist

This role reports to the WHSE Manager and is responsible for designing and developing industry-leading WHSE frameworks, systems, and processes to support delivery of the overall WHSE strategy. The successful candidate will lead all governance aspects of ASC's WHSE programs and initiatives, including risk management, data analysis, and process optimization.
Responsibilities:- Design and develop industry-leading WHSE frameworks to assist in the delivery of the overall WHSE strategy.
- Develop sustainable libraries of WHSE content, tools, and templates aligned to WHSE programs and review WHSE communications framework against best practice.
- Support operational execution with fit-for-purpose change management frameworks.
- Manage the WHSE System Advisory and Administration team.
- Maintain relationships with key management personnel and employees to gain a greater operational context and understanding of organizational goals and how WHSE strategies can assist in achieving these goals.
- Represent the WHSE team in risk and governance forums.
To succeed in this role, you will require relevant tertiary qualifications in workplace health and safety management, environmental science, engineering, or equivalent, and a minimum of 4-6 years of experience, 2 of which in a senior systems role. Significant experience in data analysis, workflow design, and governance frameworks is also essential.
EligibilityThis role requires a current National Police Clearance and an Australian Defence Security Clearance. Your eligibility for this role is dependent on your ability to obtain and maintain such clearance.
