About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our Intermediary business in Australia. As Head of Intermediary Australia, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive business plan to drive growth and expansion in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a strategic business plan to drive growth and expansion in the Intermediary channel in Australia.
  • Work closely with the Head of Intermediary Asia Pacific to develop and execute a focused growth plan for each prioritized client segment.
  • Attract, develop, and retain the required talent for execution of the business plan.
  • Lead from the front when executing the business plan for the Intermediary channel.
  • Partner with the Product team to source new product ideas and provide high-quality feedback to the product development process.
  • Develop and execute a PR and Marketing Strategy for the Intermediary channel in Australia.
  • Be a primary point of contact for media in relation to the Intermediary Channel in Australia.
  • Ensure strong local oversight and controls, including liaison with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Audit, Finance, and regulators.
  • Partner and collaborate with ETF sales strategy team and Institutional team to execute country-specific sales and marketing strategies.
  • Develop and lead key client relationships in Australia and participate in industry associations and meetings to promote State Street and State Street Global Advisors brands, products, and services.
Requirements
  • Strong investment knowledge, including ETFs, Segregated Mandates, Managed Funds, and Model Portfolios.
  • Experience in developing and executing an actionable business plan, including strategic insights and financial understanding.
  • Strong business instincts, good judgment, and creative mindset.
  • Advanced communication and client relationship management skills.
  • Proven ability to provide fresh insights and new ways of approaching issues based on past experiences, a global perspective, and well-articulated facts and reasoning.
  • Dedication to risk, compliance, governance, and regulation policies and procedures.
  • Comprehensive asset management market and product knowledge across all SSGA asset classes and product lines.
  • Analytically minded with strong analytical skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines.
  • Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients.
  • Willingness to assume responsibility and take ownership of tasks assigned.
