Head of Intermediary Australia

We are seeking an experienced professional to lead our Intermediary business in Australia, driving growth and development across Asset Managers and Financial Intermediaries.
About the RoleAs Head of Intermediary Australia, you will be responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive business plan to drive the growth of the Intermediary Channel in Australia. This will involve working closely with the Head of Intermediary Asia Pacific to identify opportunities, develop strategic insights, and execute business plans.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement a business plan to drive the growth of the Intermediary Channel in Australia
- Work with the Head of Intermediary Asia Pacific to identify opportunities and develop strategic insights
- Lead a team of professionals to execute business plans and drive growth
- Develop and maintain relationships with key clients and stakeholders
- Partner with the Product team to develop new product ideas and provide high-quality feedback
- Work with the Marketing team to develop and execute a PR and Marketing Strategy for the Intermediary Channel in Australia
- Ensure strong local oversight and controls, including liaison with Legal, Compliance, Risk, Operations, Audit, Finance, and regulators
- Strong investment knowledge, including ETFs, Segregated Mandates, Managed Funds, and Model Portfolios
- Experience in developing and executing business plans, including strategic insights and financial understanding
- Strong business instincts, good judgment, and creative mindset
- Advanced communication and client relationship management skills
- Proven ability to provide fresh insights and new ways of approaching issues
- Dedication to risk, compliance, governance, and regulation policies and procedures
- Comprehensive asset management market and product knowledge across all SSGA asset classes and product lines
- Analytically minded with strong analytical skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities to meet deadlines
- Ability to build strong relationships with both internal and external clients
