Quantum Computing Engineer

The fastest path to delivering a useful quantum computer has been determined years earlier than the rest of the industry. Our silicon photonics-based architecture enables the production of components at Tier-1 semiconductor fabs like GlobalFoundries.

In this role, you'll manage installation and maintenance of complex subsystems, as well as operations elements in our Brisbane laboratory. You'll work closely with measurement, design, and operations teams across all technical disciplines.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Operating high-end lab equipment including cryostats, vacuum systems, vacuum pumps, hand tools, etc.
  • Supporting testing and characterization of RF components at cryogenic temperatures.
  • Assembling and maintaining cryogenic setups, including cryostats, vacuum pumps, and control equipment.
  • Quality Control checks and data logging.
  • Developing and executing best practice procedures.
  • Fault finding, repair, and maintenance in lab hardware (in Australia and worldwide), including out-of-hours requirements.
  • Planning maintenance and upgrades of core test equipment to ensure maximum uptime.
