About the Role

PsiQuantum is seeking an exceptional technical engineer to support experimental efforts and development within a new laboratory in Brisbane, Australia. The successful candidate will manage installation and maintenance of complex subsystems, working with measurement, design, and operations teams across various technical disciplines.


Key Responsibilities
  • Operation of high-end lab equipment including cryostats, vacuum systems, and hand tools.
  • Support testing and characterization of RF components at cryogenic temperatures.
  • Assembly and maintenance of cryogenic setups, quality control checks, and data logging.
  • Fault finding, repair, and maintenance of lab hardware.

Requirements
  • At least 5 years of practical experience in a similar role within a scientific or advanced engineering environment.
  • Experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Knowledge of cryogenic equipment assembly and test.

Preferred Skills
  • Electronics assembly.
  • Ability to solder to a high standard.
  • General mechanical assembly and fitting.
