About the Role

We are on a mission to build the first real, useful quantum computers.

Job Overview

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing installation and maintenance of complex subsystems, and some operations elements as we bring up and operate the laboratory.

Main Responsibilities
  • Operation of high-end lab equipment including cryostats, vacuum systems, vacuum pumps, hand tools etc.
  • Support testing and characterization of RF components at cryogenic temperatures.
  • Assemble and maintain cryogenic setups including cryostats, vacuum pumps, and control equipment.
  • Electro-optic experiment assembly, including into cryostats.
  • Quality Control checks and data logging.
  • Develop and execute and document best practice procedures.
  • Fault finding, repair and maintenance in lab hardware (worldwide), including out of hours where required.
  • Plan maintenance and upgrades of core test equipment to ensure maximum up-time.
About You

We are seeking an individual with a broad range of practical skills and experience across some/all of our technology areas which include: cryogenics, vacuum, electrical, electronics, controls, optics and mechanical. There will be opportunities to upskill in some areas where candidates have less experience.
