**About the role**
We're seeking expressions of interest from legal administrative officers, paralegals or administrative officers from similar fields. We can offer meaningful, values based work in a fun and caring environment. Our office manages a broad range of legal work, including contracts, health law, privacy, Freedom of Information, reporting obligations, consent to treatment, family law and children’s law issues relevant to Grampians Health functions, corporate governance, commercial and regulatory issues, intellectual property and leases of real property, insurance, statutory interpretation, probity and procurement, policies and procedures. As the Administrative Coordinator/Paralegal, you'll be responsible for supporting our General Counsel and growing team of lawyers in their duties, and managing our office administrative processes.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide accurate, organised and efficient administrative support for the effective operation of the Legal Services office, including the day-to-day challenges that come along with it.
- Collect and compile information to support the development of documentation and reports.
- Respond promptly to internal and external enquiries and routine requests for legal information, escalating any issues as necessary, to ensure the provision of accurate information (e.g. subpoenas, request for legal advice/contract review, medico-legal matters, Freedom of Information, Police/Coroner/CCYP requests).
- Update records and databases, complying with records management processes, to ensure information is accurate, stored correctly and accessible.
**Skills and experience**
- Proven experience in providing administrative service in legal office environment.
- Experience with complex document management system (corporate documents) and sensitive record keeping systems.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, with expertise in Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, Teams and Excel in relation to supporting the management of a legal office environment.
- Initiative, willingness to learn and try new things. Be comfortable in a new and growing team.
