Manager - Sales and Account Management

About the role:
This is a management role leading a small team to achieve client satisfaction, retention and sales targets. You’ll be required to build relationships with top clients/prospects and play an active role in supporting your team to achieve success. You will be an inspirational and motivational leader with a ‘hunter and farmer’ mentality who is used to a busy environment responsible for a high volume of clients/prospects.
Day to day, you will train and support your team to be able to deliver presentations and software demonstrations and negotiate contracts. Ultimately, this role is responsible for the team achieving and exceeding targets.
If you have previously worked in an organisation selling software this would be highly advantageous. Knowledge of Salesforce CRM and the residential real estate industry would also be highly desirable.
**Responsibilities**:
- Lead a small team responsible for a high volume of clients/prospects
- Help develop mutually beneficial relationships with Top clients/prospects
- Drive team to achieve client satisfaction, retention and sales targets
- Recruit, train motivate team to succeed
- Performance manage under performers
- Professionally represent MRI at client meetings, conferences and industry events
- Develop a strong working knowledge of MRI’s solutions and the markets in which we operate
- Achieve and exceed all quarterly and annual fiscal targets and objectives
- Produce timely and accurate sales forecasts and reports as and when required
- Help develop MRI value propositions and ensure the team can articulate them.
- Ensure the team are well trained on all solutions.
- Determine ongoing requirements to meet client/prospective changing business needs and feed these back to product management and development.
- Ensure team check in with clients/prospects regularly. Secure client testimonials, which can be shared with prospects
- Represent MRI on social media. Share client testimonials and other informative content to create awareness and purchase of MRI solutions
- Work closely with other departments within the business such as Sales Operations, Marketing, Product Management, Development, Global Professional Services and Finance.
- Ensure Salesforce is updated frequently to reflect all account management and sales activities, and results
Experience & Competencies:
- At least 3 years’ working as an account executive or account manager
- At least 3 years’ experience of building, developing and leading a team of account executives or account managers within a software business is preferred
- Inspirational and motivational leadership style
- Track record of over achievement operating in a quarterly, target driven environment
- ‘Hunter and Farmer’ mentality
- Team player
- Tenacious and driven
- Confident and motivated with high energy
- Self-sufficient needing little supervision
- Ability to multi-task
- Background in residential real estate will be highly considered
