Injury Management Coordinator

We are looking for an Injury Management Coordinator to join our Hays team in Adelaide
You will play a crucial role in supporting the health and safety of our workers across Hays SA metro and regional areas and ensuring the completion of Return to Work procedures.

**Your new role**
Working closely with the Health and Safety Manager you will coordinate workers compensation claims, be involved in implementing strategies and processes for the successful management of claims, as well as Return to Work Programmes. Your role will be vital in ensuring the speedy and safe recovery of injured employees. Duties includes:
- Liaising with injured workers, managers, workers compensation insurer and treatment providers to achieve a sustainable return to work as soon as possible through the promotion of suitable duties
- Assessing pre-employment medicals
- Assisting with investigations and recommending corrective actions
- Assisting with ergonomic assessments
- Actively source the provision of suitable duties for temporary workers with restricted work capacity
- Reduce the impact of workplace injuries on affected workers
- Contact treatment providers prior to medical reviews in order to promote a sustainable reduction in restrictions to achieve a return to pre-injury duties
- Maintaining accurate records and file notes of discussions with treatment providers, the insurer and the worker are kept
- Ensuring compliance to the Procedure for Injury Management and Return to Work
**What you'll need to succeed**
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Return to Work accreditation
- Demonstrated experience as an Injury Management/Return to Work Coordinator or Claims Manager
- Demonstrated knowledge of current legislation
- Excellent interpersonal and influencing skills
- Demonstrated reporting and written and verbal communication skills
- Effective stakeholder engagement
