A permanent full-time position for a WHS Coordinator is available with an established national food processor based in Adelaide. The company have two sites, one is a high-volume processing facility producing fresh product on a 24/6 operation and the other is a storage and distribution site based close by.

The company is seeking a ‘hands on’ Health and Safety professional to maintain strong safety results and a safety minded culture.

As the WHS Coordinator, your main objectives will be to ensure injuries are prevented, the site is compliant, and the workforce is health and safety minded.

Your main duties will include:

- Assist with safety policy reviews and implement any efficiencies
- Report and document all incidents
- Conduct WHS related training and toolbox talks
- Promote internal health programs
- Perform staff drug and alcohol testing
- Organise safety inductions for new staff members and contractors
- Coordinate medicals for staff
- Manage first aid duties and supplies
- Liaise and advise all site managers on any WHS issues by providing detailed WHS knowledge
- Other duties as required

In order to be considered for this position, you must meet the following criteria:

- Tertiary qualifications (Minimum in Cert IV) in WHS or related industry experience and training
- Experience in food/FMCG manufacturing environments is highly desirable
- Certificate IV in training and assessment with hands on training experience
- Advanced first aid certificate
- Current state drivers licence
- Strong communication and organisation skills
- Legally entitled to work in Australia (Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident)
