Injury Management Specialist

Job Description:This role is responsible for delivering an industry-focussed injury and claims management service for workers and employers. As an Industry Return to Work specialist, you will deliver high-quality engagement to all stakeholders involved in the return-to-work process and proactively lead the recovery and return to work.
You will support workers and employers to achieve timely and optimal recovery and return to work outcomes. A key part of this role will be to develop the knowledge base of particular industries which will be leveraged to support early intervention and claims management practices.
We are looking for a skilled occupational health nurse with prior experience within a clinical role or within an injury management field. You should have a sound working knowledge and understanding of work injury insurance and excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- Demonstrate expertise in injury management and return to work processes
- Conduct thorough assessments of worker and employer situations to identify biopsychosocial barriers
- Educate stakeholders on the return to work process, legislative requirements, premium impact, and initial claims decisions
- Coordinate worksite meetings with workers and employers
- Provide on-the-spot advice, approval, and education to resolve workplace barriers
- Engage with treating teams to drive worker capacity for work
- Registered with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, or Occupational Health Nurse
- Prior experience within a clinical role or within an injury management field
- Sound working knowledge and understanding of work injury insurance
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to build trust and engage with stakeholders
