Adelaide Region SA, Australia St Andrew’s Hospital Full time

**Why St Andrew's?**
We are more than Australia's largest standalone private hospital with a reputation for excellence in patient care. We're a community, a working family. It's where everyone knows each other, leaders are approachable and patients return to work as volunteers. As summarised in our core values: We care for others. We work together. We deliver excellence. That's the St Andrew's way.

**About this role**

Due to the nature and diversity of our organisation and workforce, this role will work across a wide range of disciplines and work environments, collaborating with leaders to identify and control a range of workplace safety hazards. You will work closely with leaders in areas such as nursing, maintenance, kitchen operations, sterilisation services, and administration. You will learn from some of the best to help you develop your relationship management skills, whilst being provided with the autonomy to design and implement innovative practices to optimise workplace safety.

Additional responsibilities of this role include supporting Health and Safety Representatives (HSRs), undertaking internal audits, coordinating the WHS Committee, coordinating WHS training, and preparing WHS/IM reports and staff communications.

The role also provides critical support to our injury and claims management function, to optimise services and support to our injured workers, and ensure we align with legislative requirements.

**About you**

In addition, you will demonstrate:

- A 'can-do' attitude and a strong focus on providing exceptional customer service
- Excellent team work skills, with flexibility and adaptability
- Exceptional administrative and organisational skills
- Numerical aptitude, accuracy and attention to detail
- Well-developed written communication skills
- An innovative mindset with the ability to analyse and solve problems
- Excellent prioritising, time management and organisational skills

A Return To Work (RTW) Coordinator Certificate and/or Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment, as well as experience in the healthcare sector, are both desirable although not essential.

Please note, it is a mandatory requirement of employment that you are fully vaccinated against Covid-19.

**Rewards at St Andrew's**
In this role you will benefit for exceptional training and mentoring by our pragmatic and focused WHS & IM team, including Safety and Wellbeing Manager and WHS Advisor. You will be provided with flexible working conditions and surrounded by a team who love working together and supporting one another.

When our staff come to work, they are surrounded by friendly, supportive leaders, engaged team mates, and great facilities. We know that happy employees provide the best care, so we focus strongly on ensuring the wellbeing and engagement of our staff, including:

- flexible rostering practices, enabling staff to nominate their shift preferences to fit with their personal commitments
- a range of wellbeing programs and opportunities, including an on site gym, personalised support for employees experiencing mental health challenges and fortnightly wellbeing tips
- additional learning and development opportunities including scholarships for fully funded post-graduate studies
- a focus on supporting the health and safety of our workforce through dedicated WHS specialists, programs and locally based staff health and safety representatives in all areas.

**Opportunities to Grow**
As a large, standalone Hospital, we offer opportunities to work across a wide range of specialities, and our Executive Team are located on site, enabling them to interact with staff daily to understand challenges and opportunities. To offer the best, you need to be the best, which is why we provide great opportunities to further your training and development across all roles within the Hospital.
