Full time temporary administrative role based in the Hobart CBD within the State Government.

Based in the Hobart CBD, this position sits within the Tasmanian Government body set up to deliver affordable housing solutions across the entire housing consortium, giving priority to Tasmanians most in need.

**Your new role**

You will provide administrative assistance to the Deputy Secretary for a 4-week period including the following tasks:

- Organise meetings, including preparation, approvals, distribution of papers and travel
- Action correspondence received via post or electronically
- Maintain the flow of communications and correspondence between the Dep Sec, Minister’s Office, Office of the Secretary, corporate units and external stakeholders
- Assist in the preparation of documentation and correspondence and undertake general admin and clerical duties

**What you'll need to succeed**

To be successful, you will be an experienced Senior Admin Assistant with a proven record of supporting at an executive level.

You will:

- Have excellent communication skills (written and verbal)
- Have excellent time management skills
- Have outstanding attention to detail
- Have a strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office
- Have a high level of initiative
- Be able to prioritise competing demands and work well under pressure
- Previous public sector experience desirable
- A current police check (done within the last six months)

**What you'll get in return**

You will receive an attractive casual hourly rate and work during standard business hours, Monday to Friday, completing a 38-hour standard week. You will get the opportunity to work semi-autonomously in a small team.
