The Coin Shop Team Leader will have lots of personality mixed with a customer service focused professional attitude in a sometimes-fast paced environment.

The shop is responsible for counter sales and responding to enquiries from visitors to the Mint. The Team Leaders and shop staff are on the front line of face-to-face customer service for visitors, including our regular numismatic collectors, school groups, and national and international tourists.

The coin shop is open seven days a week including public holidays. Successful applicants will need to be available for a minimum of three shifts per week and two weekend shifts per fortnight.

The duties of this position include:
1. Assisting with counter sales of all numismatic and non-numismatic product and dealing with counter enquiries from the public.
2. Assisting in rostering and leading a small team.
3. Improving the quality of the customer service experience, building sales, improving profitability and achieving sales targets.
4. Documenting and maintaining accurate records.
5. Providing assistance in store merchandising, shop marketing and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
6. Assisting with all aspects of inventory control.
7. Receipting and accounting for monies received, balance daily takings and reconcile discrepancies.
8. Undertaking duties as an emergency warden.

**Security clearance**
This position requires a baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
