The Circulating Coin Project Officer reports to the Circulating Coin Operations Manager and is responsible for managing various projects relating to the production environment and equipment in the Mint’s Circulating Coin section, including the automation of processes and equipment (including AGV replacement). The Circulating Coin Project Officer is responsible for establishing project teams, reporting on the progress of projects, and delivering projects within budget.
The Circulating Coin Project Officer is also responsible for undertaking procurement activities and building and maintaining stakeholder relationships to achieve the successful delivery of projects.
The duties of this position include:
- Implementing and delivering projects relating to the production environment and equipment in the Mint’s Circulating Coin section, including:
- managing resources, including establishing and leading project teams, to ensure the effective execution of project tasks;
- scheduling and leading project meetings, including performing administrative tasks such as minute taking and managing actions;
- ensuring projects are on schedule and relevant milestones are achieved;
- managing project costs within budget; and
- reporting on project deliverables.
- Managing procurement in accordance with Commonwealth Procurement Rules to support project delivery, including:
- assessing requirements;
- preparing documentation;
- managing requests for quotes;
- undertaking tender evaluation reports; and
- managing procurement outcomes.
- Developing and maintaining productive relationships with stakeholders and business areas to create and deliver solutions that optimise projects.
**Security clearance**
This position requires a Baseline security clearance. The successful applicant will be required to obtain and maintain a clearance at this level.
