The CEC Strategic Plan places priority on delivering high performing reliable systems and ensuring safety and quality in the provision of healthcare for ‘every patient, every time’ is consistent across NSW Health.
**What you'll be doing**
The Project Officer, Analytics and Reporting contributes to the development, implementation, governance, evaluation and refinement of activities and initiatives that support safety and quality healthcare data in line with the CEC strategic goals.
The position of Project Officer is also responsible for providing leadership in supporting the management of the internal processes that underpin database and data reporting systems in accordance with CEC work requirements, and will work with Local Health Districts (LHDs) and their clinical services to provide support on data and reports that are utilised as part of quality improvement activities to improve patient safety and quality outcomes.
The position reports to the Senior Manager of Analytics and Reporting within the Medical Patient Safety Directorate and will provide support to the Director Information Management on projects for approximately 1 day per week.

**Selection Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in health &/or relevant equivalent systems database &/or project management experience in NSW Health.
- Demonstrated experience in effectively managing projects to achieve planned outcomes.
- Knowledge of corporate and information governance legislation and policy requirements including records management within the NSW Health context.
- Demonstrated high level communications skills with an ability to provide customer service support and maintain relationships with a variety of multidisciplinary stakeholders.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and the ability to use data in problem-solving resolution for patient safety and quality improvement activities.
- Demonstrated excellent time management, organisational skills and the ability to work independently and within multidisciplinary teams.
- Excellent skills in the use of project management software, data reporting systems, MS Office and similar software/systems.
