**Where you'll be working**

The Clinical Excellence Commission (CEC) is committed to providing leadership in safety and quality to improve health care for patients in NSW. The primary focus of the CEC is to promote and support improved clinical care, safety and quality across the NSW public health system, and to meet functions specified by the Minister for Health. The CEC Strategic Plan places priority on delivering high performing reliable systems and ensuring safety and quality in the provision of healthcare for ‘every patient, every time’ is consistent across NSW Health.

**What you'll be doing**

This position is integral to the role and function of the CEC. The Information Systems Manager (ISM) will be responsible for continuous improvement of the CEC's information management, and information systems and technology assets. This includes the design and delivery of new systems that will allow the CEC to achieve key objectives more effectively, as well as providing support and guidance to enhance the performance, availability, and safety of existing systems via appropriate information governance and information security.

The ISM will establish and maintain relationships with key stakeholders across the CEC's directorates, as well as employees of eHealth NSW, the Ministry of Health, and other organisations that collaborate with or provide services to the CEC. They will provide the secretariat for various committees and meetings, and support the collection, analysis, visualisation and reporting of CEC information from various sources which do not currently have dedicated support.

The Director, Information Management and the ISM will be responsible for ensuring that the CEC is established and recognised as a leader in information governance, privacy, cyber security and risk management. The ISM will offer support and identify education and professional development opportunities for CEC staff in critical information management roles, and will also engage with auditors and oversight bodies, draft updates to essential policies and procedures, and prepare attestations and mandatory reports as required.

- Ability to plan, deliver and improve the CEC's information management, ICT, and information governance initiatives within financial and administrative delegations, and support the Director, Information Management in the delivery of the portfolio's strategic goals and annual operational plan.
- Ensure relevant measures (including relevant policies and procedures) are in place for information management, ICT, data governance, privacy, system security and contractual compliance in a fast-paced environment.
- Work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to influence outcomes to support CEC's mission and ensuring business requirements are understood and met.

**Selection Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in ICT and/or demonstrated, equivalent professional experience and training.
- Ability to identify and define specific ICT business requirements for new or existing services and products in collaboration with directors, managers, customers across the CEC and third-party stakeholders, via tailored approaches that improve business value. Experience in healthcare ICT sector is desirable.
- Well-developed knowledge and understanding of current issues, risks and their implications, and developments impacting on delivery of ICT service delivery in the digital and operational domains (including appropriate controls focused on ISMS and/or Cyber Security in a complex ICT environment), including the preparation and present analysis and present reports for CE and/Board and stakeholders.
- Ability to develop and monitor ICT strategies through risk management, prediction, analysis, audit and ongoing review, and manage cultural and technological changes within a complex environment.
- Strong self and team management skills with demonstrated capacity to set priorities, successfully manage competing priorities and meet deadlines.
