**What you'll be doing**

The Medical Device Governance Program Lead provides leadership and coordination of activities across NSW Health that support the safe use of implantable medical devices. This key role will lead the development of system wide processes and procedures with input from key stakeholders. The position will lead a team of staff to ensure the ongoing maintenance of effective governance, inclusive of adverse event reporting.

You may be asked to undertake further assessments as part of the recruitment process for this position, which may include, but is not limited to, psychometric assessment (e.g. personality and cognitive abilities assessments) and/or particular work tasks.

**Selection Criteria**
- Tertiary qualifications in a relevant health discipline and/or equivalent and extensive experience, knowledge and demonstrated achievements in analysis of quality and safety in healthcare.
- Extensive knowledge and experience with the NSW Health clinical environment, clinical risk and quality management requirements and processes.
- Knowledge and understanding of policy and legislation impacting on medical device governance.
- Demonstrated experience in leading, developing and managing complex change at a large scale or statewide level.
- Highly developed interpersonal and negotiation skills including demonstrated ability to negotiate with and influence diverse stakeholder groups to support change and drive the achievement of common goals.
- Proven capability in planning and managing change to meet business objectives and capacity to lead and manage projects within tight timeframes.
- Highly developed written and analytical skills, including the ability to analyse and interpret highly complex information from numerous sources, exercise independent judgement.
- Demonstrated experience and high-level knowledge in assessment, monitoring and evaluating implementation to ensure adoption of recommendations and strategies to maintain safe patient outcomes.
