**What you'll be doing**

Executive management of the Mental Health Service (MHS) in a large and complex organisation.
You will lead, direct and manage the delivery of the budgeted mental health program covering the full range of specialist community based through to acute Mental Health Services, including strategic, operational, planning and governance requirements, to enable safe, effective, and appropriate MHS to be delivered by the Local Health District (LHD).
You will be central to developing and maintaining effective local key relationships with GPs and NGOs in the community and other human service agencies (e.g., Department of Communities and Justice). Through this, you will ensure access by people with severe and enduring mental illness to local mainstream health services and social care to ensure the local population receive appropriate care and services as close as possible to where they live.

All NSW Health workers are required to have completed an up-to-date course of a COVID-19 vaccine (3 doses for Category A roles, 2 doses for Category B roles) which has been approved or recognised by the Therapeutics Goods Administration (TGA). New applicants must have completed the vaccination course prior to commencement with NSW Health, or provide an approved medical contraindication certificate certifying the worker cannot have any approved COVID-19 vaccines available in NSW.

Acceptable proof of vaccination is the Australian Immunisation Register (AIR) Immunisation History Statement or AIR COVID-19 Digital Certificate. Please provide proof of vaccination if available.

**Selection Criteria**
- Extensive experience in the delivery and management of Mental Health Services and/or graduate management qualifications or willingness to commence management qualifications. and/or clinical background or qualifications in a relevant clinical field.
- Demonstrated leadership skills and the ability to manage the physical, financial, and human resources of a large and complex service to ensure resources are appropriately utilised.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience of mental health service delivery and clinical practice models to ensure the best possible outcomes for patients in terms of clinical quality and safety.
- Demonstrated Interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with diverse stakeholder groups to ensure Mental Health Services are delivered effectively to the local population.
- Demonstrated ability to analyse key performance information to support decision making and service development, and the ability to provide the CE/ Executive with authoritative advice on service provision and the use of resources for the Mental Health Service.
