**About the role**

The Associate Director Research Collaboration (ADRC) identifies and develops University-wide research collaborations, developing strategies, initiatives, policies and programs that sustain research impact in key focus areas. Working constructively with a broad range of senior stakeholders across multiple thematic research priorities, disciplines and faculties, the ADRC a key role in mobilising and lifting the University of Melbourne’s research capability to address large global challenges. Collaborating with universities, research institutes, industry, government and philanthropy both domestically and internationally, the ADRC develops programs that support researchers in collaborating across disciplines, from initial contact to through to long-term joint collaborations.

**About you**

You are a senior research professional with a track record in leading, establishing and stewarding collaborative research partnerships, and an expert understanding of the global research landscape and policies and programs that facilitate collaboration. Having led, facilitated or stewarded successful research collaborations across institutions both nationally and internationally, you understand relevant legislative, policy and funding issues affecting the research sector in Australia and internationally. Your career includes extensive facilitation of research collaboration and partnership arrangements, including consideration of graduate researchers within collaborative contexts and you are well versed in the opportunities and challenges presented by interdisciplinary collaboration across large, complex organisations. As a proven research professional, you are excited by the opportunity to lead collaborative strategy implementation for Australia’s top ranked university.
