**The opportunity**:
We are seeking a motivated and self-driven professional to manage the pre
- and post-ethics approval processes and protocol submissions for our research projects, including our national flagship project.

In this role, you will be responsible for advising on ethical issues related to study design, recruitment, and managing protocol review and iterations. You will also advise on ethical issues for other CPG research projects and support the Project Management lead in making significant contributions to the Centre's strategic and operational plans, policies, and procedures relating to human research ethics.

**Your responsibilities include**:
Preparing the structure and content for all documentation required to gain and maintain HREC approval for the CPG’s flagship program.
Providing timely, expert advice and support to guide the study design, HREA and protocol development for the CPG’s projects, with oversight from the Project Management Lead.
Accurately recording all ethics submission activities, including associated timelines, approval statuses, reporting deadlines and submitting annual and final reports.
Developing an excellent working relationship with institutional Research Ethics and Governance office staff and collaborators.

**Ensuring CPG complies with the NHMRC**: National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, Australian Code for the Responsible Conduct of Research and other legislative and policy requirements.

**About you**:
Demonstrated experience in human research and the development of human research projects, including study design and ethical considerations in the conduct of research.
Significant knowledge and understanding of the principles and conduct of ethical research within the National Statement and Commonwealth and State legislation relating to human research.
High-level communication skills and demonstrated capability in writing protocols, HREA and other related materials.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with experience communicating ideas or concepts related to issues that are often complex to a wide range of stakeholders, including the capacity to establish relationships with key stakeholders such as Research Office staff.
