**_You might be sick of the tools, as I was. do you want to move into a _**
**_"beter carear"?. I did, and look I can't even spell._**
This position is classed as "technical" but rest easy; We don’t build or sell Space Rockets and our machines are not that complex. Truthfully, a first-year mechanic with 6 months training who was previously employed as a hairdresser and has six-inch fingernails can and does fix most of the day-to-day problems that occur.
Your experience that would make you great at this job
- **You already have an up-to-date passport** - we need to fly you to Europe for one 2-week stint every year for up-to-date product training so that when you come back, you can update the rest of us on anything new.
**AND**
**Some sort of customer service ability** - This could be as basic as just having an understanding on what questions to ask someone who doesn’t really know how to explain or put into words what their problem is, so that by your clever questions you can get to the bottom of the issue. If you are person who writes everyone off as an idiot because they can’t speak your lingo in the way you were taught as a tradie, then this job is probably not for you.
**Plus at least one of the following**:
**A past as a mechanic of some sort** - Meaning you have or had a job where you fix/ fixed machines with wheels, heavy duty vehicles or cars at a bare minimum.
**OR**
**You grew up on a farm and had to fix farm machinery - **Self-explanatory.
**OR**
**Technical experience gained via a mechanical repair background of some sort where you also had to trouble shoot problems**. A great example would be a client called, they had a problem you asked them to walk over to the machine, you asked a few questions, then you told them over the phone how to fix it as it was a simple issue that didn’t warrant you getting into the car and driving an hour.
**OR**
**Some sort of machinery or vehicle Technical Support background **where you received calls from clients who ask you questions about the machine, they purchased from us. It could be as simple as how do I start the machine? How do I change the filter? why is the light on the dash flashing red?
**Main Duties**
**In the office - 70% of the time.**
**Travel to and from clients’ locations in the 4x4 - 30%**
Note - the 4 x 4 is yours to take home 7 days a week, so you don’t need your own car, so you can sell yours or keep your GT under a tarp in your garage and only take it out on Sundays.
- Manage warranty process through company CRM.
- Liaise with HQ Service dpt and manage the warranty bgt.
- Liaise with HQ product management about product updates and new releases.
- Support parts dpt.
- Support sales team with product knowledge.
- Occasionally PDI high value machines.
- Coordinate the various service providers nationally.
**Annual Base Salary - $100,000 Gross**
**Plus 11% Super**
**Plus a Company 4x4 vehicle,** all expenses are paid for by our company includes reg, insurance, fuel, wear and tear, new Tyers and if you want one of those yellow-tree air fresheners to hang off your mirror, buy your own.
**And a KPI Bonus structure up to $10,000 each year.**
For those who are not familiar with the acronym of” KPI’s” this simply means on how well you perform the basic duties of your job. Simply everyone has a job description, if you perform all the duties well, you will receive an additional $10,000 at the company Christmas party, if you do most of it well and you screw up a few times you will only receive $7000 at the company Christmas party.
