The Sales Development Representative (SDR) will focus on generating interest in our products researching and prospecting into accounts that have been previously identified in our ICP. Reporting into the Sales function, this role works between marketing and sales and is designed to connect these organizations through strategic cold and warm sales tactics with the goal of building a quality pipeline for the company.

While this is an entry-level growth position, you will be at the epicenter of action in a quickly growing organization.

**What you'll do**:

- Prospect for new business, researching companies and individuals that meet criteria for potential use of our products
- Qualify inbound inquiries
- Set up demos with qualified prospects for Backlight Account Executives
- Executing high-quality, strategic outbound initiatives to connect with decision-makers and influencers in target accounts
- Occasionally lead intro calls and close new business opportunities

**Skills & knowledge you should possess**:

- 1-3 years' experience in lead generation, or sales, ideally within SaaS businesses
- Outstanding phone, prospecting, sales, customer service, and interpersonal skills
- Experience with Salesforce or other CRM software
- Ability to build relationships with potential customers, understand their environment, and introduce new concepts to solve problems
- Ability to build relationships with internal stakeholders
- A strong work ethic and understanding that self-discipline and hard work are a minimum standard for success in Sales
- Proven ability to learn a sales process and improve it through collaboration with your peers
- Proven ability to learn and master selling in a new and technically challenging domain
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload to maximize efficiency
- Represent the company and our products with a high degree of professionalism
- Creative and outside the box thinker is a must

**Outcomes of the role**:
**By month one**, fully onboarded in Organizational structure and all Sales processes.

**By month three**, be fully ramped in all sales processes, focusing on sales pipeline, prospecting, activities

**By month six**, consistently hitting and exceeding quotas and taking on more responsibility (leading calls, etc.)

**Performance indicators**:

- Meetings Scheduled
- Pipeline Generated
- Meetings Held
