The University of Southern Queensland’s Centre for Health Research (CHR) has a vision to be recognised for delivering world-class research and development in health, focused on the health and well-being of regional Australians, with an emphasis on the social and behavioural sciences broadly defined.

**What you’ll do**

This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Fellow with an interest in mental health to join the CHR team and make a difference for Regional Australians. In this key role, you will:

- contribute to the Manna Institute, which brings together leading mental health researchers from seven universities and aims to build place-based research capacity to improve mental health in regional, rural and remote Australia.
- work within the UniSQ Innovative Mental Health Solutions research program in the CHR and contribute to projects that are creating and evaluating digital health solutions for child and adolescent mental health.

**What will help you succeed?**

Your energy and initiative, combined with your ability to work independently and collaboratively with fellow researchers and external partners will be vital to your success. Additionally, you will have:

- A doctoral or master’s qualification in Psychology or a related discipline or equivalent accreditation and standing in the relevant field, and eligibility for a Blue Card (Working with Children).
- Demonstrated professional experience and/or research expertise in regional mental health, digital mental health and/or prevention or treatment of child and adolescent mental health.
- Proven experience in the collection, management, statistical analysis and reporting of mental health research data as evidenced by authorship of journal articles and/or other academic reports.
- Exceptional oral and written communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to relate to people at all levels using diplomacy, tact, and sound judgement in order to build constructive and effective relationships.

Based at UniSQ’s Springfield campus, greater Springfield is located approximately 30 minutes to Brisbane, 50 minutes to the Gold Coast, and 90 minutes to Toowoomba. With a population of over 26,000, greater Springfield is emerging as one of the most dynamic urban growth areas in Queensland is the largest privately owned master-planned city in Australia. Greater Springfield is comprised of a wide selection of residential areas to suit all budgets and tastes.

**Salary**:Total remuneration range $119,401 to $141,128 pa (includes salary range of $100,888 to $119,246 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
