**About the Project and the Role**

The Centre’s Sustainable Industry Manufacturing for Long Term Ecosystems (SIMPLE) Hub has received $7 million of government and partner funding to ensure the delivery of circular economies in manufacturing, resource, civil infrastructure, heath and agrifood industries.

Join a passionate, multidisciplinary research team that is focused on sustainable futures and reduced environmental impact across a range of industries and communities. This position will carry out research activities in the Sustainable Industry Design team to effectively translate the team's research to project industry partners and communities.

As a Research Fellow, you will:

- Effectively contribute to and deliver the Impacts Renewable Energy Project by developing tailored solutions to regional communities with waste materials.
- Be provided opportunities to collaborate with industry partners and community to provide solution-support to work towards material circular economies.
- Refine methods and manuscripts to drive novel energy processes which contribute to future sustainable manufacturing.
- Engage in publication opportunities to establish and build your research profile and knowledge base.

**About You**

Your ability to engage and communicate with a variety of internal, external and collaborative stakeholders will lead to successful milestones and outcomes for the project, industry and communities. Additionally, you will have:

- An extended Degree or higher qualification (e.g. Masters) in a relevant discipline area from a recognised tertiary institution. Progression towards completion of a Doctoral qualification would be highly regarded.
- Demonstrated professional experience and research expertise, specific to:

- Knowledge of chemistry, particularly chemical recycling, hydrocarbon and carbon-based molecules,
- Polymer materials, to inform and drive novel energy technology processes, and
- Concentrated solar-thermal energy technologies, particularly equipment components.
- Eagerness to co-design and develop effective practices to contribute towards sustainable futures, all while advancing and developing your knowledge and skills.

**Salary**:Total remuneration range $84,683 to $113,606 pa (includes salary range of $71,553 to $95,991 pa, employer super contributions of 17% and annual leave loading)
