**The Company**

***
We are recruiting an
**Administration Lead** to join the busy Melbourne office of a multi-disciplinary engineering and project management firm. This is a fantastic opportunity to work for a people-focused and values-based organisation who enjoy incredibly high retention rates: for good reason They put their people first and they care.

**The Role**

The administration function is the heartbeat of the organisation, highly valued and respected by all business leaders. The Administration Lead manages a team of five administrators and reports to the Group Manager.

The Administration Lead has three core responsibility areas:

- **Team Management**. There is a keen focus on coaching, mentoring and developing the five administrators who support the broader business in everything they do, from diary and travel management, coordinating training, supporting with proposals and tenders and formatting documents. You are critical in ensuring your team are operating at their best, providing top-notch support and delivering high quality work to the required timelines.
- **Facilities / Office Management**. You play a pivotal role in keeping the Melbourne office going. With over 150 staff there’s always something to take ownership of and resolve: whether it’s coordinating tradies to fix the aircon, handling urgent repairs or dealing with external suppliers and vendors - you have it covered.
- **General Administrative Support**. This isn’t an ivory-tower role where you can you delegate all tasks and simply oversee. You lead from the front and roll your sleeves up, whether it’s jumping in when someone is absent to assisting the team with document administration tasks.

There is also a continuous improvement element to this position. You are always looking to streamline processes and have a mindset of: if there is a better way then let’s explore it.

**What experience do I need?**
- Your career background is highly administration focused and you have held roles like office manager, EA/PA, team assistant.
- You understand the world of project management, cost centres, proposals, bids.
- Previous people leadership experience is essential: people management is not just on your CV but is your thing. Getting the best out of your team is a strength and something you really enjoy.
- You are resilient, confident and don’t sweat the small stuff.
- You are mature and capable and understand how to build trust with your team and stakeholders through your actions, behaviours and style

**What’s in it for me?**
- Awesome team, culture and working environment - work with smart people and have fun doing what you do.
- Join a high performing business who will stretch you, develop you and support you every step of the way.
- Great salary package + monthly phone allowance.
- Genuine investment in your ongoing professional development.
